Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) chief Hafiz Naeemur Rehman urged the government to address key demands, including relief on high power bills and reduced prices for essentials.
Naeem, leading thousands of protesters to the capital, warned that if negotiations fail, the sit-in could escalate to Parliament, potentially toppling the government.

He criticized Independent Power Producers (IPPs) for burdening the public and emphasized that the protest is aimed at raising awareness and advocating for relief.
Naeem also condemned the government’s efforts to disrupt the sit-in and provoke clashes between protesters and police.
