Journalists Boycott PTI Press conference over Gandapur’s Comments

Journalists covering Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) boycotted a press conference due to remarks made by Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur against reporters. The press conference, held at K-P House in Islamabad, featured PTI leaders such as Shibli Faraz, Salman Akram Raja, and Raoof Hasan. Journalists protested Gandapur’s labeling of reporters as “touts” on social media, which they claimed put their safety at risk.

Despite assurances from Salman Akram Raja that Gandapur would clarify his comments and that PTI founder Imran Khan had been informed, the journalists continued their boycott. They expressed frustration over PTI’s lack of communication and failure to address Gandapur’s statement.

The reporters demanded an official response from the PTI leadership, and until they receive clarification, they pledged to remain boycotting PTI press events.
