Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly, Malik Ahmad Khan Bhachar, has announced that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will hold rallies in Lahore and Islamabad on August 14.

In a media briefing, Bhachar urged supporters to protest against inflation, which he claimed has devastated the lives of the poor. He criticized Punjab’s Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, calling her a “Tik Toker,” and challenged her claim that she would remain in office for five years.

Earlier this month, PTI had announced plans for a major event at Lahore’s Minar-e-Pakistan on August 14. However, the party has faced issues with local authorities denying them a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for rallies.

Bhachar alleged that the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) manipulated Form 47 to secure their positions and accused them of undermining public trust and attacking key institutions, including the Supreme Court. He suggested that the PML-N’s criticism of the judiciary reflects their fear of losing power, and hinted that their days in power are numbered.
