A flight operated by a private airline from Islamabad to Karachi encountered an unexpected incident shortly after takeoff, leading to its prompt return to the airport. The incident occurred at 10:48 a.m. on Friday, with the flight identified as PA-201. The Airbus A-320 experienced damage to its upper side glass due to a bird strike shortly after departing from Islamabad airport.
In response to the situation, the pilot promptly communicated the bird-hit incident to the air traffic control at Islamabad airport. Seeking clearance for an emergency landing, the aircraft, after approximately twenty-four minutes into its flight, executed a go-around and safely returned to the airport.

Following a thorough examination by engineers, it was determined that the aircraft was in suitable condition for flight. Subsequently, at 12:43 p.m., the flight resumed its journey to Karachi.
This incident follows a recent occurrence involving a Qatar Airways plane on its way to Karachi from Doha. During its flight, the aircraft collided with a bird near the runway, posing a close call. Fortunately, the Qatar Airways plane landed safely, and post-landing inspections by civil aviation officials revealed the presence of bird blood and feathers in the engine. Vigilance and safety measures continue to be of paramount importance in aviation operations.
