In response to recent Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) reforms, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has revealed reduced registration fees for older Apple iPhone models. The PTA’s adjustments primarily affect registration fees based on passports and CNICs (Computerized National Identity Cards).
The registration fee for an iPhone 8 with a passport has been lowered to Rs38,922, while registering the same model with a CNIC now costs Rs48,314. Likewise, the registration fee for an iPhone 8 Plus has increased to Rs40,951 with a passport and Rs50,546 with a CNIC.
These alterations come as part of an ongoing effort to align registration processes for iPhones in Pakistan with the latest FBR reforms. These changes will have implications for iPhone owners registering their devices in the country.
