The Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen (PBCC) has approved the introduction of five new intermediate textbooks for class 11 and 12 in Punjab. These textbooks aim to align with international standards and provide students with quality education in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Computer Science.

The PBCC directed the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board (PCTB) to promptly adopt specific internationally recognized books in these subjects. They also instructed the PCTB to negotiate copyrights/royalty agreements and initiate the printing process to ensure timely availability of these textbooks for students.
It is worth noting that the BISEs (Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education) of Punjab have already adopted an internationally recognized Biology textbook titled “An Inquiry into Biological Life” for intermediate students.
In a separate development, the PBCC has finalized the result declaration dates for the annual matriculation exams. The result for class 10th will be announced on July 31, while the result for class 9th will be announced on August 22.
