Through announcements broadcasted via loudspeakers across the city, citizens have been strongly urged to refrain from leaving their homes past midnight unless faced with an emergency situation. SHO Azhar Abbas has emphasized that strict action will be taken against those who defy this order, with police intervention and potential arrests being highlighted as consequences.

In a particularly severe statement, SHO Abbas warned that individuals who fail to cooperate with law enforcement efforts to control crime in the city may face extreme measures, such as having their legs broken.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has directed authorities to implement the Safe City project across every district of the province by December 31. This directive was issued during CM Maryam Nawaz’s inaugural visit to the Punjab Safe City Authority headquarters in the provincial capital. Accompanied by Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) MPA Marriyum Aurangzeb and Inspector General (IG) Dr. Usman Anwar, CM Maryam Nawaz toured various facilities, including the data center and digital wall of the Safe City Authority. Additionally, she interacted with female police officers stationed at the Madadgar-15 call center during her visit.
