Retired Lt. Gen. Muhammad Abdul Aziz Appointed as New Chairman of PPSC

On Tuesday, Punjab Governor Baligh Ur Rehman appointed Lieutenant General (Retired) Muhammad Abdul Aziz as the new chairman of the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC). As per media reports, Lieutenant General (Retired) Aziz is set to serve a three-year term in this position, succeeding former PPSC chairman Lieutenant General (Retired) Malik Zafar Iqbal, whose three-year tenure concluded in February.

The appointment of Lieutenant General (Retired) Aziz was formalized through an official notification issued by the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) on Tuesday. It is anticipated that his monthly salary will exceed Rs. 900,000.
