Earlier this morning, a dramatic shooting incident unfolded at Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s Bandra residence, as reported by Times of India. Mumbai Police stated that at around 4:51 am, two unidentified individuals on a motorcycle fired multiple shots into the air outside the actor’s home before quickly fleeing the scene.
Authorities have launched a thorough investigation to apprehend the perpetrators, although details are currently limited as investigators work to gather evidence and determine the motives behind the incident. A forensic team has been dispatched to collect any potential material that could aid in identifying the shooters.

This incident has reignited discussions about safety and security in Mumbai. Anand Dubey, head of the Shiv Sena (UBT), expressed concerns, stating, “Whether it is Salman Khan or any common man, no one is feeling safe in Mumbai and Maharashtra,” highlighting broader apprehensions regarding public safety in the region.
The shooting follows previous threats against Khan. In March last year, Mumbai Police filed an FIR against gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar after a threatening email was sent to Khan’s office. Subsequently, Khan’s security detail was escalated to Y-Plus level in November 2022, and he was granted permission to carry a personal weapon for self-defence.
As the investigation unfolds, security measures at Khan’s residence have been intensified, with local authorities prioritizing efforts to safeguard both the actor and the public. The incident has raised alarm among fans and residents alike, underscoring the challenges of maintaining public security, particularly in high-profile areas.
In a separate, more uplifting event, Khan delighted his fans on Eidul Fitr 2024 by making a special appearance from the balcony of his Mumbai residence. Clad in traditional attire, the actor greeted the large crowd of admirers gathered outside, accompanied by his father, Salim Khan, creating a joyous atmosphere.
This joyful interaction came shortly after Khan made a significant announcement, revealing that his next film, titled Sikandar, is slated for release on Eid 2025. The announcement has generated excitement among his followers, eagerly anticipating another major Bollywood production starring their beloved star.
