Saudi authorities announced Thursday that the crescent moon has been sighted, marking the first day of Zil Hajj on Friday, June 7.
“Arafat Day falls on Saturday, June 15, and Sunday, June 16 will be the first day of Eid Al Adha,” stated the Saudi Supreme Court.

Arafat Day is on the ninth day of Zil Hajj (June 15). Consequently, the first day of Zil Hajj is June 7, and Eid Al Adha will be on the 10th day of Zil Hajj.
Meanwhile, in Pakistan, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is expected to sight the Zil Hajj moon on Friday, June 7.
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz noted that the Zil Hajj moon would be born on June 6 at 5:38 pm. He added, “There are strong chances of the moon being sighted on June 7 as it will be over 26 hours old by then.”
