Shehbaz urges PTI voters: Avoid blind party allegiance

PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif has called on PTI supporters not to vote blindly and highlighted the recent Transparency International report that indicates a decrease in corruption during his tenure. Speaking to the media, Shehbaz emphasized the decline in corruption as recognized by international organizations and criticized Imran Khan’s government, pointing to an increase in the corruption perception index according to the report. He addressed allegations against the Sharif family, stating that no evidence supports these claims and accused the previous government of fabricating corruption charges.

Shehbaz highlighted Nawaz Sharif’s achievements, such as building the motorway in 1997, and reiterated his commitment to withdrawing nomination papers if even minor corruption charges were proven. He recounted an encounter with Saqib Nisar, emphasizing Nawaz’s ability to move past bitter experiences. Shehbaz urged young voters to participate in the upcoming elections, emphasizing the significance of their decision on February 8 in determining the country’s future leader.

Referring to the urban flooding in Karachi during a recent downpour, Shehbaz criticized the situation, stating that the city “turned into an ocean.” He urged PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to engage in a comparison rather than a debate, adding that if Lahore faced a similar situation, he would withdraw from the election and suggest Bilawal contest from his constituency. The severe traffic jams and power outages during the rainfall highlighted the challenges faced by Karachi residents.
