Earlier, the Met Office issued a new warning, predicting that rain will fall on Karachi after July 20, providing relief to the dry city. It did, however, issue a warning about severe rains that could impact the city on July 21.

Meanwhile, the Met Office has projected further showers and thunderstorms across the country.

The new weather system is also expected to bring severe rainfall to northeast Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Rain and wind are forecast for Kashmir, the Pothohar region, Islamabad, Punjab, northeast Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

During the projected period, heavy rains are also expected in isolated locations in the Pothohar region, Kashmir, and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In contrast, hot and humid weather is expected in much of the country’s plains over the following 12 hours.
