Sindh Boy Officially Recognized with Three Mothers by NADRA

In an unusual case, a woman has taken legal action after the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) erroneously listed two other women as mothers of her son.

The mother of 17-year-old Umar Raza has filed a petition in the Sindh High Court (SHC) against NADRA over this mistake.

The petitioner’s lawyer, Nasir Ahmad, argued that NADRA’s records indicate that his client’s son has three mothers, listing the grandmother, mother, and stepmother of Umar Raza as his mothers. The lawyer informed the court that the boy’s parents had separated long ago, emphasizing that NADRA’s mistake could lead to serious problems for him in the future.

After hearing the lawyer’s arguments, the SHC issued a notice to NADRA, seeking its response in the matter.
