The disruptions were evident in the sharp rise of connection outages on platforms like YouTube, X, and Facebook, as indicated by downdetector’s graphs.

NetBlocks, a global internet observatory, confirmed a nationwide disruption to social media platforms in Pakistan. This included connectivity issues with Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. The observatory noted the scale of the disruption, affecting the entire nation.

As of now, the reason behind the widespread outage has not been officially disclosed by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).
