Lionel Messi may follow Cristiano Ronaldo to Saudi Arabia after receiving an official bid from Al Hilal.
The Saudi Pro League club is said to have offered Messi a contract worth €400 million per year, nearly double the amount Al Nassr used to entice Ronaldo to the Middle Eastern country.
The news follows reports that the World Cup winner will leave PSG in the summer after failing to reach an agreement on an extension with the Parisian club. PSG was optimistic about Messi’s future but is now preparing for his departure.
The French champions allegedly asked Messi to accept a 25% pay cut on his 40 million euro salary, which he refused.
