Bangladesh Clean Sweeps Pakistan at Home After Second Test Win

Bangladesh achieved a historic 2-0 series victory over Pakistan by winning the second Test at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. This marked Bangladesh’s first-ever series win against Pakistan. They successfully chased a target of 185 runs on the final day, winning by six wickets.

Veteran players Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan led the chase, remaining unbeaten with scores of 22* and 21*, respectively. Their partnership secured the series victory.

Bangladesh’s innings began strongly with opener Zakir Hasan scoring 40 off 39 balls before being dismissed. Despite losing two more wickets, Najmul Hossain Shanto (38) and Mominul Haque (34) kept the chase on track, and Mushfiqur and Shakib completed the win.

Earlier, Pakistan’s second innings ended at 172, despite Hasan Mahmud’s five-wicket haul. Pakistan’s lead was extended to 184 by Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha. However, Bangladesh chased the target methodically on the final day to secure their landmark series win.
