Pakistan’s high-performance director Aqib Javed has dismissed rumors that Babar Azam is out of the national T20 setup, saying selection will remain based strictly on performance. Speaking at Gaddafi Stadium, he made it clear that no player is permanently dropped.
“Whether it’s Babar or someone else, selection is open to everyone who performs,” Aqib said, stressing that cricketers themselves often understand what formats suit them best.
