Eyman Fatima Gets First Call-Up for Pakistan Women’s T20I Series Against Ireland

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the squad for the upcoming T20I series against Ireland, with Fatima Sana set to lead the team. The three-match series will take place at Clontarf Cricket Club in Dublin from August 6 to 10.

One of the standout inclusions in the squad is 22-year-old Eyman Fatima. She has earned her maiden senior call-up following an impressive performance in the National Women’s T20 Tournament held in Karachi earlier this year. Fatima, a right-handed batter, scored 287 runs in eight matches at a remarkable strike rate of 155.14.

Eyman Fatima’s rise to the senior team comes after her successful participation in the inaugural ICC Women’s U19 World Cup in 2023, where she showcased her talent on the international stage. Her inclusion in the squad highlights her promising potential and the depth of talent emerging in Pakistan’s women’s cricket.

The squad was selected from the 24 players attending the Women’s Skills camp in Karachi, which will conclude on July 27. Following the camp, the 15-member team will undergo a pre-series training session in Karachi before traveling to Ireland for the series.
