Haris Rauf Achieves Milestone As Fastest Pace Bowler To Claim 100 T20I Wickets

Pakistan’s fast bowler, Haris Rauf, has made history by becoming the fastest pace bowler to claim 100 wickets in T20 Internationals.

Rauf achieved this milestone during the T20 World Cup match against Canada, marking his 71st appearance in T20Is. He emphasized that while taking wickets is significant, his primary goal is to represent Pakistan with honor.

Rauf reached his 100th wicket in the 22nd match of the T20 World Cup against Canada, marking his 71st T20I appearance.

The record for the fastest 100 T20I wickets is held by Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan, achieved in 54 matches, followed by Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga in 63 matches. Haris Rauf ranks third on this list, achieving the feat in 71 matches, while Ireland’s Mark Adair is fourth, reaching the milestone in 72 matches.

Speaking to the media after the match, Rauf emphasized that his focus is on representing Pakistan proudly rather than solely on taking wickets. He stressed the importance of winning and expressed his aim to secure victory in the upcoming matches. Rauf mentioned that he has returned from an injury and is working hard to replicate his past performances. He also acknowledged the challenge of performing well in New York.
