India Controls Champions Trophy Final as New Zealand Struggles

Champions Trophy

New Zealand is facing a tough challenge against India in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. After 30 overs, they are 135/4, struggling against India’s disciplined spin attack.

Kuldeep Yadav has been India’s standout bowler, taking 2/25 in six overs, including key wickets of Tom Latham and captain Kane Williamson. Ravindra Jadeja has also kept things tight, conceding just 13 runs in his six overs while dismissing Will Young. New Zealand’s batting has lacked momentum after a promising start by Rachin Ravindra, who scored 37 off 29 balls.

Daryl Mitchell (32*) and Glenn Phillips (17*) are at the crease, trying to rebuild the innings. However, India’s spinners have made run-scoring difficult, restricting boundaries and forcing New Zealand to play cautiously.

With a projected total of around 250, New Zealand will look to accelerate in the final overs. Meanwhile, India remains in control, aiming to keep the pressure on and secure another ICC title.
