The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s decision to rename Peshawar’s historic Arbab Niaz Stadium as “Imran Khan Cricket Stadium” has triggered backlash.

Arbab Shehzad, son of Arbab Niaz, rejected the move, calling it an attempt to appease Imran Khan. He reminded that Imran himself opposed naming places after living individuals.
Meanwhile, reports suggest PSL franchises may refuse to play in Peshawar. The renaming proposal awaits cabinet approval on Friday.
