PSL

The Public Accounts Committee’s sub-committee has decided to forward audit objections on Pakistan Super League (PSL) 5 and 6 to the FIA after records were not provided for financial scrutiny.

Chaired by Aamir Dogar, the PAC meeting revealed serious transparency issues, including the live streaming contract of PSL 5 awarded for Rs180 million and non-transparent sponsorship deals worth Rs330 million. Audit officials confirmed that the PCB failed to submit required documents, a stance acknowledged by the Cabinet Division Secretary.

The committee called for a full list of PCB board members, citing deteriorating cricket standards and major financial mismanagement.

The session also reviewed irregularities in NEPRA and PTA. NEPRA employees reportedly received Rs640 million in advances, exceeding the Rs570 million budgeted. PTA’s top officials allegedly received Rs55 million in unlawful allowances, prompting a directive for further inquiry.
