Sahibzada Farhan Shines with Aggressive Fifty in Pakistan's 74-Run Win Over Bangladesh

Pakistan secured a consolation victory in the third T20 match against Bangladesh, winning by 74 runs. The match, held on Thursday in Dhaka, saw a strong performance from opener Sahibzada Farhan, who played a vital role with the bat, and paceman Salman Mirza, who impressed with the ball.

Sahibzada Farhan, who replaced Fakhar Zaman in the playing XI, provided Pakistan with an explosive start. He smashed an aggressive 63 off 41 balls, including five sixes and six fours. His brilliant knock helped Pakistan set a target of 179, finishing their innings at 178-7 in 20 overs. Farhan’s 82-run partnership with Saim Ayub (21) for the first wicket set the tone for Pakistan’s total.

In response, Bangladesh’s chase was quickly derailed by the excellent bowling of Salman Mirza. The paceman, playing only his third international match, made an immediate impact by dismissing Tanzid Hassan for a duck in the second over. Mirza went on to claim three wickets for 19 runs, helping reduce Bangladesh to 104 all out in just 16.4 overs.

While Mohammad Saifuddin offered some resistance with an unbeaten 35, and Mohammad Naim contributed 10 runs, the rest of the Bangladesh batsmen failed to get going. Mirza’s early breakthroughs, along with solid support from Faheem Ashraf (2-13) and Mohammad Nawaz, who took the final two wickets, sealed Pakistan’s victory.

Farhan’s performance was a standout in a match that saw Bangladesh resting five key players, including their leading bowler Mustafizur Rahman. Despite already winning the series with victories in the first two T20s, Bangladesh struggled to chase down Pakistan’s total.

With this win, Pakistan prevented a clean sweep, finishing the series 2-1 in Bangladesh’s favor. Farhan’s contribution and Mirza’s bowling were key highlights in this hard-fought victory.
