Pakistan selector Asad Shafiq has assured that top domestic performers will get opportunities in the national team. Speaking in Karachi, he emphasized that selections are based on domestic cricket performances and that the squad is being prepared with the 2026 World Cup in mind.
Shafiq mentioned that Haseebullah will be given another chance after recovering from injury and that fast bowler Mushtaq Kalhoro remains under consideration. He also stressed that players won’t be dropped after just one poor series.
