Haris Rauf No Pressure as Pakistan Prepares for Crucial Clash Against India

Pakistan’s fast bowler Haris Rauf has assured fans that the team is not feeling any pressure ahead of their highly anticipated ICC Champions Trophy 2025 match against India. Speaking to reporters in Dubai, Rauf emphasized that the focus is on rectifying mistakes from their previous game as they gear up for a must-win encounter.

Rauf acknowledged the importance of the match, describing it as a “do-or-die” situation for Pakistan if they hope to advance to the semi-finals. “Our focus is entirely on the match against India. It is a do-or-die situation for us if we want to stay in the tournament. We will try our best to secure a win and qualify for the semi-finals,” Rauf stated.

Despite the high stakes, the pace spearhead expressed confidence, saying the team remains composed and relaxed. “There is no pressure on us; we are very relaxed. The entire squad is positive and determined to give their best performance in all three departments,” he added.

Regarding his fitness, Rauf, who bowled his full quota of 10 overs in the previous game against New Zealand, dispelled any concerns. “I bowled 10 overs in the last match and feel completely fit,” he assured.

Reflecting on Pakistan’s strong performances against India in Dubai, Rauf conveyed optimism about repeating their success. “We will aim to play the same kind of cricket as we did when we defeated India in the last two encounters here. The boys are confident, and we hope to deliver a good match,” he remarked.

Pakistan’s tournament campaign started on a disappointing note with a 60-run loss to New Zealand. Chasing a target of 321, Pakistan was bowled out for 260, despite a promising start. Will Young and Tom Latham powered New Zealand with centuries, while Pakistan struggled to maintain momentum against a disciplined bowling attack.

With both Pakistan and India eyeing a crucial win, the much-anticipated clash on Sunday, February 23, is set to be a defining moment in the Champions Trophy 2025.
