Haris Rauf, aged 30, underwent a medical examination at Kolkata Hospital following a rib sprain sustained in the clash against New Zealand. The injury caused significant pain during the match, ultimately forcing him to leave the field.

The spokesperson for the Pakistan national team expressed optimism about Rauf’s recovery before the crucial upcoming match.

In another blow to the team, vice-captain Shadab Khan also left the field due to a concussion during the match against South Africa in Chennai. The versatile all-rounder has been sidelined since and remains uncertain for the forthcoming matches.
