Inzamam-ul-Haq, the former Pakistan captain, is contemplating resigning from his role as chief selector due to disagreements with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Sources have revealed Inzamam’s dissatisfaction with the appointment of Shahid Anwar as the head coach for the U19 men’s team.
A PCB spokesperson responded by saying, “Inzamam willingly participated in the selection of the U19 men’s team and the women’s A team. We have not received any official word about Inzamam’s discontent with the board.”
Reports suggest that Inzamam advocated for the appointment of former Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Yousaf as the U19 team’s head coach.
It’s worth noting that Inzamam and the PCB have previously experienced difficulties in reaching consensus, indicating that this is not their first instance of discord, as they have had disagreements in the past.

Additionally, Inzamam recently assumed the role of chairman for the Junior Men’s Cricket Selection Committee, in addition to his existing responsibilities as the head of the senior selection committee.
The senior selection committee comprises four members, including Tauseef Ahmed, Wajahatullah Wasti, and Wasim Haider. In contrast, the junior selection committee consists of seven members, which include Aamer Nazir, Javed Hayat, Mahmood Hamid, Naveed Latif, Salman Ahmed, and Sanaullah Baloch.
