Pakistan Storms into Semi-Finals of Under-18 Hockey Asia Cup with Strong Win Over Bangladesh

Pakistan has secured a place in the semi-finals of the Under-18 Hockey Asia Cup after a convincing win against Bangladesh. The match was held in Dazhou, China, where Pakistan emerged victorious with a 6-3 scoreline.

This dominant win places Pakistan at the top of their group in the Under-18 Hockey Asia Cup. Star players Abdullah Awan and Ali Hunzala each netted two goals, while Asam Haider and Atif Ali added one goal each. Bangladesh fought hard but only managed to score three goals — two from Ismail Hussain and one from Din Islam.

The national team is scheduled to play its final pool match against host country China on July 9. A win in that game would further cement their position as strong title contenders in the tournament.

Earlier in the Under-18 Hockey Asia Cup, Pakistan showed their strength with a massive 9-0 win over Sri Lanka. The team dominated from the start, going into halftime with a 6-0 lead. Asam Haider stood out by scoring a hat-trick, while Atif Ali and Adeel scored two goals each. Abdullah Awan and Zubair Latif also contributed with one goal apiece.

Pakistan’s campaign began with an 8-0 thrashing of Hong Kong China, showing consistency in both attack and defense. With three straight wins, the team has showcased top form and unity.

The consistent performances by young Pakistani players are a promising sign for the future of the sport. Their journey in the Under-18 Hockey Asia Cup continues with high hopes as they aim for the championship title.
