Pakistan to Compete in the Arab Classic Baseball Tournament

The Pakistan baseball team is set to showcase its talent in the upcoming Arab Classic tournament, organized by Baseball United, at The Sevens sports and entertainment complex in Dubai. This four-day event, starting on November 7, is considered the largest baseball tournament in the Middle East and will feature eight other teams: India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Palestine, Afghanistan, Nepal, Saudi Arabia, and the newly formed UAE team.

The teams are divided into two groups for the tournament:

  • Group A: India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and the UAE.
  • Group B: Saudi Arabia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Palestine.

The tournament will kick off with a round-robin phase, where each team will compete within its group. The group winners will automatically advance to the semifinals, while the second and third place teams from each group will enter an opening quarterfinal round.

All matches will take place over four days, with games scheduled from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Gulf Standard Time. Pakistan’s schedule includes:

  • November 7: vs. Bangladesh at 10:30 AM (GST) and vs. UAE at 8:30 PM (GST).
  • November 8: vs. India at 8:00 PM (GST).
  • November 9: vs. Afghanistan at 2:00 PM (GST).

The playoff matchups will be determined after the games on November 9. As the highest-rated South Asian team, Pakistan is favored to contend for the championship title in the Arab Classic.
