Real Reason for Missing Pakistan Name on Asia Cup Shirts Reveled

Real Reason for Missing Pakistan Name on Asia Cup Shirts Reveled

As per reports, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has opted not to feature the host country’s name in the logos of the previous and upcoming Asia Cup tournaments. This decision was collectively agreed upon by the ACC, aiming for uniformity in the logos.

The rationale behind this choice reportedly stems from the variations in logos from the previous year, which included “Sri Lanka 2022” and “UAE 2022”. To ensure a consistent and easily recognizable visual identity, the logo now exclusively bears the term “Asia Cup,” following a similar decision taken last year.

The ACC’s intention was to establish a standardized logo that remains constant for all editions, making recognition straightforward. Consequently, the logo no longer incorporates the year or the host country’s name.

This issue arose due to Pakistan not hosting the tournament, resulting in criticism from Pakistani fans who noted the absence of their country’s name in the logo.
