Mike Tyson expressed his readiness for his upcoming fight against Jake Paul, scheduled for November 15, during a joint press conference in New York City. The match, originally planned for July 20, was delayed due to Tyson, the 58-year-old former world heavyweight champion, experiencing an ulcer flare-up that required rest.
With a remarkable record of 50 wins and 6 losses, including 44 knockouts, Tyson remains one of the most intimidating heavyweights in boxing history, despite not having competed professionally since 2005. When asked about returning to the ring after such a long retirement, Tyson confidently responded, “Because I can. Who else can do it but me? We have a YouTuber facing the greatest fighter who ever lived.”

Tyson also suggested that while Paul might have encountered similar challenges before, this fight would be different, predicting, “As soon as I catch this guy, it will be over. He’s going to run like a thief.” Jake Paul, facing boos from the crowd, asserted that he would knock Tyson out, stating, “I’m here to make $40 million and knock out a legend,” and acknowledged that his friendship with Tyson would be on hold until after the fight. The fight will be broadcast live on Netflix and held at the 80,000-seat AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
