Wahab Riaz Appointed as Pakistan Team's New Chief Selector

Wahab Riaz, the former pacer and current caretaker Sports Minister of Punjab, has been appointed as the Chief Selector of the Pakistan cricket team.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) continues to see changes, and Wahab Riaz will be responsible for selecting the squad for the upcoming Test tour of Australia.

Wahab’s appointment is surprising as he is still an active cricketer at the franchise level.

He takes over from Tauseef Ahmed, who was serving on an interim basis. Wahab also holds the position of caretaker Sports Minister in Punjab, potentially leading to a conflict of interest that may require him to resign.
