In Fakhar Zaman’s absence, Abdullah Shafique replaced him in the second World Cup game against Sri Lanka, during which he scored a remarkable 113-run knock. Abdullah Shafique had suffered from a fever but is now recovering and expected to play in the upcoming match against Australia.
