Following an alleged altercation with a photographer in Australia, Taylor Swift’s father, Scott Swift, will not face charges, as confirmed by New South Wales police to Billboard on March 26. The investigation into the incident at Neutral Bay Wharf in Sydney, which occurred in late February as the Swift family was leaving a yacht after Taylor Swift’s final Eras Tour concert in Sydney, has been closed with “no further police action” against Scott.

Photographer Ben McDonald had filed a complaint alleging that Scott Swift assaulted him. However, police stated that their investigation, prompted by a report of an assault, concluded with no charges being filed.

In response to the incident, Swift’s representatives explained that “two individuals were aggressively pushing their way towards Taylor, grabbing at her security personnel, and threatening to throw a female staff member into the water.”

It’s worth noting that Travis Kelce was also present for Taylor’s Eras Tour leg in Australia. Despite the incident, Swift has continued her Eras Tour with performances in Singapore and upcoming shows in Europe. She is currently gearing up for the release of her new album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” scheduled for April 19.
