Facebook has launched the Content Monetization beta, a new program designed to enhance earnings opportunities for content creators by merging its existing monetization features. This beta combines In-stream ads, Ads on Reels, and the Performance Bonus into one streamlined platform, making it easier for creators to profit from various content types, such as Reels, long-form videos, photos, and text posts.
Since launching content monetization in 2017, Facebook has helped over four million creators earn revenue, distributing over $2 billion in the last year alone. Short video and Reels payments saw an 80% surge, demonstrating the platform’s growing focus on rewarding engaging content.

The Content Monetization beta simplifies the process, allowing creators to join a single program to monetize multiple content formats. Previously, creators had to apply separately for different monetization programs, leading to missed opportunities. This consolidation gives creators access to a unified dashboard with insights and analytics for better performance tracking.
While the payout model remains performance-based, the expanded eligibility and simplified process will allow more creators to earn from their content. Invitations to the beta are being sent out to a select group of creators, with public enrollment expected to begin in 2025.
Facebook’s commitment to providing more accessible and user-friendly monetization tools represents a significant step in empowering creators to maximize their earning potential.
