The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has announced that four eclipses will take place in 2025, consisting of two lunar and two solar eclipses.
The first eclipse, a total lunar eclipse or “Blood Moon,” will occur on March 14, 2025. Unfortunately, it will not be visible from Pakistan but will be observable across parts of Europe, Australia, and the Americas.
The first partial solar eclipse will follow on March 29 but will also not be visible from Pakistan, though it will be seen in parts of Europe, Asia, and North America.

The second total lunar eclipse on September 7, 2025, will be visible from Pakistan, giving stargazers the opportunity to witness the rare “Blood Moon.” The eclipse will start at 08:28 pm and end at 01:55 am on September 8.
Finally, a partial solar eclipse will take place on September 21, visible in parts of South Australia, the Pacific, Atlantic, and Antarctica.
