To bolster its threat intelligence capabilities at the Microsoft Threat Analysis Center (MTAC), Microsoft will leverage AI to detect threats at the speed of the internet itself. The company is also prioritizing the responsible use of AI in its services. Furthermore, Microsoft is dedicated to establishing robust AI-driven protection measures for governments and nations.

In addition to AI capabilities, the platform will implement systematic processes to continuously integrate cybersecurity safeguards against emerging threat patterns throughout the entire software development lifecycle. Customers will benefit from more secure default settings for multifactor authentication (MFA). Microsoft is also committed to reducing the time required to address cloud vulnerabilities by 50%.

This security initiative is launched in response to the concerns raised after a significant breach targeting its Azure platform.
