YouTube Launches Video Editing App 'YouTube Create'

YouTube has introduced a new mobile app called YouTube Create, aimed at empowering creators to edit their videos directly on their smartphones. This move is seen as a response to compete with TikTok and to provide more accessible video editing tools for content creators.

YouTube Create offers various features, including precise video editing and trimming, automatic captioning, voiceover capabilities, and access to a library of filters, effects, transitions, and royalty-free music with beat-matching technology. The goal is to enable creators to enhance their YouTube Shorts and general videos without relying on complex editing software or tools.

The initial release of YouTube Create will be available in beta for Android users in select markets, including the US, the UK, Germany, France, Indonesia, India, Korea, and Singapore. YouTube plans to gather user feedback during the beta phase to make improvements. The iOS version of the app is expected to launch next year.

YouTube Create is provided free of charge to all users, offering a more accessible and user-friendly way for content creators to edit and enhance their videos directly on their mobile devices.
