Terror Attack in Lakki Marwat Claims Lives of DSP and Gunman in KP Police Patrolling Party

The incident in Lakki Marwat, where two individuals including a deputy superintendent of police (DSP) and his gunman were martyred in an attack by militants, highlights the ongoing security challenges faced by law enforcement agencies in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan.

According to reports, DSP Gul Muhammad Khan and his gunman were targeted by unidentified attackers while they were on patrol duty. The assailants opened fire on their police van, resulting in serious injuries to both individuals. Despite being rushed to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Norang, they succumbed to their injuries.

Following the attack, a heavy contingent of police and security forces was deployed to the area, and a search operation was initiated to apprehend the perpetrators.
