Vedant Patel, the chief deputy spokesman for the US State Department, stated on Monday that the US wants to see a prosperous and secure Pakistan.
A wealthy and stable Pakistan is in the interests of US-Pakistan ties, he told the Washington, DC, press media. “A statement cannot be given on every diplomatic contact,” the statement reads. “We are engaged with Pakistan directly on several issues.”

In response to a query, Patel stated: “We engage directly with our Pakistani partners on the issues that are of importance to the United States and are of significance to broader regional security and stability.”
