Three people, including two children, have tragically lost their lives in a windstorm in Rawalpindi

A powerful storm struck the Rawalpindi district on Friday, resulting in tragic consequences as three people, including two children, lost their lives, while five others sustained injuries. The storm caused significant damage, including the collapse of roofs and the uprooting of trees and electricity poles in Rawalpindi and Gujar Khan. Although heavy rain was reported from various parts of Rawalpindi, the weather calmed down after a short duration.

The first incident occurred in Qazian village, where two children, Ali Hassan (9 years old) and Zila Hassan (8 years old), lost their lives when the roof of their house collapsed. Two other children, Aliza (12 years old) and Farhan (4 years old), sustained injuries in the same incident. Rescue 1122 personnel promptly arrived at the scene and transported the injured to the District Headquarters Hospital Rawalpindi for medical treatment.

Additionally, a 55-year-old woman suffered critical injuries after a wall of her house collapsed in the same area. In another tragic incident, a 13-year-old girl named Areeba died when a roof collapsed in the Sangni area of Gujar Khan. Both police and Rescue 1122 sources confirmed this information.
