Trump Presented a Plan To End The War If Elected, US Journalist Trial Imminent

Two advisers to Donald Trump, expected Republican nominee, have presented a plan to end the Ukraine conflict if he wins the November presidential election, Agency reports.

The proposal involves tying increased US military aid to Kyiv’s engagement in peace talks and warning Moscow of heightened US support for Ukraine if it rejects negotiations, according to retired Lieutenant General Keith Kellogg.

Kellogg and Fred Fleitzl, former chiefs of staff in Trump’s National Security Council, devised the plan, advocating for a ceasefire aligned with current battle lines during peace talks. Fleitzl indicated Donald responded positively to the plan, though not necessarily agreeing with every detail.

The Kremlin stated any Trump administration peace initiative must reflect the ground reality, with openness from Vladimir Putin for discussions. Ukrainian presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak criticized freezing the conflict along existing front lines as unconventional, reiterating Ukraine’s position that peace must be fair and grounded in international law, as per President Zelenskyy’s peace framework.
