This recent increase raises concerns about families not stepping forward to claim their loved ones.

The Chhipa Welfare Association, known for its ambulance services and humanitarian work, has been actively involved in managing the aftermath of these tragic discoveries.

The deaths are attributed to a severe heatwave gripping the city, worsening conditions for vulnerable citizens, especially drug addicts who are highly susceptible to environmental stress. The situation has led to a rise in hospital admissions due to heatstroke, straining medical resources.

Azeem Khan from the Edhi Foundation expressed concerns about the circumstances of the deaths, noting that many individuals were reportedly under the influence of drugs when they died. He emphasized the deadly combination of intense heat and substance abuse.

Authorities and humanitarian groups continue to grapple with the challenges posed by these deaths, working to identify the deceased and notify their families. The situation underscores the urgent need for coordinated efforts to support marginalized communities during extreme weather events.
