Veteran Actor Khalid Butt Passes Away in Lahore

Renowned Pakistani actor Khalid Butt passed away in Lahore on Thursday due to complications arising from kidney and liver diseases.

He had a career spanning several decades and began his journey in the 1970s. Khalid Butt worked in numerous Urdu and Punjabi films and television series, making significant contributions to the entertainment industry. He started as an assistant director, directed a film, and acted in various TV dramas and films.

Khalid Butt’s notable works include PTV productions such as “Janjal Pura” (1997), “Boota from Toba Tek Singh” (1999), and “Landa Bazaar” (2002), where his performances were highly appreciated by the audience. He was also honored with the Pride of Performance award for his artistic services.

His final project, the drama serial “Khaie,” is currently being aired. The funeral prayer for the late actor is scheduled to take place following the Asar prayer. Khalid Butt’s contributions to the Pakistani entertainment industry will be remembered, and he leaves behind a legacy of impactful performances.
