Veteran actor Waseem Abbas recently shared his thoughts on Bilal Abbas’s performance in the popular drama serial “Ishq Murshid,” advising him to avoid overdoing the role. During a candid conversation with host Mukarram Kaleem, Waseem appreciated Bilal’s on-screen chemistry with his co-star but expressed concern about occasional overacting.
While acknowledging the drama’s popularity, Waseem humorously mentioned that it has the prayers of a murshid (religious guide). However, he raised a critical point about the narrative choices in the drama. Waseem questioned the logic of a scene where a young and handsome boy rents a room, and he and the daughter engage in a romantic rooftop scene for eight minutes in the open. He found the portrayal inconsistent and wondered about the director’s decision to choose such a location.
