Israeli airstrikes overnight targeted tents outside two major hospitals in Gaza, killing at least two people and injuring nine others, including six journalists, according to local medics. One of the strikes hit a media tent near Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, killing Palestinian journalist Yousef al-Faqawi and another man.
The Israeli military confirmed it was targeting Hamas in the area but gave no specifics. It reiterated that it aims to minimize civilian casualties and accused Hamas of operating in populated zones—claims denied by hospital staff.

Three more people were wounded in a strike near Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah. Additional casualties from other overnight attacks were also reported, including multiple women and children.
Thousands of displaced Palestinians have taken refuge in hospital grounds, believing them to be safer from attacks. However, the ongoing strikes have destroyed vital infrastructure and deepened the humanitarian crisis, with aid blockades worsening conditions.
