Cargo Aircraft Crashes in Baltic Region of Europe

A DHL cargo aircraft crashed into a residential house near Vilnius early on Monday morning, resulting in one fatality and two injuries.

The 31-year-old Boeing 737, operated by Madrid-based Swiftair, struck a two-story building near Vilnius International Airport. The injured were taken to the hospital, where one later died.

The plane was traveling from Leipzig, Germany, to Vilnius when the incident occurred, with freezing temperatures and cloud cover reported at the time.

Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the crash. Emergency services responded swiftly, and investigations are ongoing to uncover the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
