The city’s air transparency index surged from 89.1 micrograms per cubic meter in 2022 to 92.7 micrograms per cubic meter in 2023, underscoring the persistent air quality challenges in the region.
According to a report by Bloomberg, India has secured the third position globally in terms of air pollution, with New Delhi standing out as the most polluted and dirtiest city worldwide.
