Former Miss Switzerland Finalist Murdered and Disposed of by Husband

Switzerland is reeling from the shocking murder of former Miss Switzerland finalist Kristina Joksimovic. The 38-year-old model was found dead on February 13 at her home in Binningen, near Basel. Her husband, Thomas, has been accused of the horrific crime, which involved dismembering and dissolving parts of her body.

Authorities revealed that Joksimovic had been strangled before her death. Thomas, 41, was arrested soon after and confessed to the murder, claiming he acted in self-defense after Joksimovic attacked him with a knife. However, forensic evidence disputes this claim.

Thomas allegedly used a jigsaw, knife, and garden shears to dismember her body, and some remains were reportedly blended and dissolved in chemicals.

Despite Thomas’s defense, forensic experts have indicated signs of premeditation and possible mental illness. Thomas has a history of violence, including a previous incident where he strangled Joksimovic and other violent acts against a former partner.

The federal court in Lausanne has denied his appeal for release, and he remains in custody while the investigation continues.
