The group was reportedly linked to radical Hindu organizations and had gathered in response to a call from hardline factions protesting Pakistan’s stance on the Kashmir issue. Four individuals were arrested for public disorder and rioting, and police maintained a strong presence to avoid further escalation.
In a show of solidarity, a large crowd of British Pakistanis and Kashmiris gathered outside the High Commission to counter the Indian protesters’ actions.
They waved Pakistani and Kashmiri flags and chanted slogans supporting Pakistan and its military. The demonstration was peaceful and aimed to denounce what participants called the “provocative and threatening behavior” of the Indian protesters, while also expressing unity and advocating for Kashmiri rights.
